Sensei Ian in main square - Timosoara, Romania

Well done to UKA kids Melissa Ward, James Furminger, Lemar McDowall and Alex Thorndycraft for brilliant results in their sections.

Our senior competitors also did us proud with the double in the mens team events (first time for that one) especially in view of the tough opposition from the likes of Poland, Italy, Serbia, Slovenia and of course hosts Romania. Fantastic performances from Charlie Collins, Liam Powell Meenhaz Janar and especially Michael Cormack going out last and getting crucial wins in both semi final and final of the five man team sanbon.

Special congratulations to Gerry Engwell and Jason Ward with their win in the male veterans team, they both also came close to medals in the individuals both losing in the repecharge finals.

Good luck to all the UKA competitors going to Dublin in June for the WUKF championships. Timi
